I call this one, "The Money Shot." How often does Nature just present you with an opportunity like this one? Well, even in my back yard, it doesn't happen with any frequency. It's like getting two sunsets for the price of one. This was taken a day or three after some really heavy rains that actually overfilled the pond. The day of the rain, I was out in my slickers with a shovel, busily digging holes in a small berm wall near the pond to allow the water to drain down naturally away from my home -- instead of it filling the area around the base of my house to the tune of over 14"! This shot was worth all that effort. Through hard work, I saved the house from serious damage and a few days later, I managed to get this beautiful sunset shot of the now, truly full pond.
